The Village music class provides this opportunity, allowing parents the special quality time to gain new insights into their child's development and to nurture their natural love of music.

In class parents and children will experience a Variety of Music, Instrument Play, Creative Movement and Dance, Together Time, Expert Advice and Tips for Continuing the Music in the Home environment.

Classes are hands-on and interactive giving both the adult and child a wealth of new experiences to share with each other.

• Age Range: newborn to 18 months (lap babies, crawlers, and walkers)
• Class Length: 30 minute class each week
• Class Size: Class with no more than 12 babies with parents

"Bound away and back again". This catchphrase encapsulates the struggle for independence this age group inevitably displays.

This fun and highly interactive music class is designed to allow the 1.5 to 3 year old discover and explore but with the security of parental closeness.

Kindermusik Our Time encourages children to initiate their own ideas, to be creative and respond in their own ways while the parents' active participation gives the toddler the security they desire.

Parents and children will experience a variety of musical styles, instrument exploration and ensemble skill development, vocal play, object exploration time, Story time and early literacy components, movement activities for gross and fine motor skills, together time, social interaction and expert advice.

Watch as they gain confidence in group singing and dancing activities, instrument and object exploration, active listening exercises, engaging in vocal play and encouraging a love of reading with a colourful literary component.

• Class Length: 45 minute class each week
• Class Size: Class with no more than 12 children with parents

Designed for the active and highly imaginative 3 to 5 year old this children's music class taps into the preschooler's creative spirit and boundless energy using the power of music.

Pretend play activities are integrated with music, vocal development, storytelling, literature and movement to capture the potential to develop strengths and to build self-confidence.

Imagine That! music classes encourage sharing of ideas, social awareness, and participation in group activities.

Vocal development is highlighted through the focus on singing, as expressive language is just beginning to emerge.

The child, with parents and siblings, have fun participating in the last 15 minutes of class, sharing what they have learnt and having the time to show it to their most valued persons.

• Age range: 3 - 5 years old
• Class Length: 30 minutes with teacher and child, final 15 minutes parents and siblings join class
• Class Size: class with no more than 8 children

Amanda is a qualified music teacher having studied at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Sydney University and receiving a Bachelor of Music Education in 2001.

A Secondary Music School teacher for the past 8 years, Amanda has also become been a Licensed Kindermusik Educator.

Amanda has achieved her CMusA level in AMEB for piano and currently takes children's beginner piano lessons in the Northern Suburbs of Wollongong, Thirroul, for children aged 6 - 10.
